Groathouse Construction completed the new construction of a 56,000 sf facility, providing state-of-the-art spaces for academic and athletic programs with a focus on health and human performance studies. The building features:

• Health Sciences Simulation Laboratory: Designed to offer students a clinical simulation environment with a six-bed clinic and two high-fidelity mannequins for realistic healthcare scenarios. Includes a clinic exam room similar to a typical physician’s office and three debriefing conference rooms.

• Fitness Center: Equipped with a full range of weightlifting machines, free weights, expanded cardiovascular equipment, an indoor track, and full-scale locker rooms.

• Gymnasium: Full-scale gymnasium with spectator seating for athletic events.

Groathouse Construction was initially contracted for pre-construction services at the 75% schematic design stage. We collaborated with mechanical and electrical consultants under separate pre-construction agreements to assist in design. Across four design stages, we provided value engineering recommendations and ensured cost efficiency. Later, we were contracted for bidding and construction services, maintaining clear communication and consistency to execute the project plan through completion. This project highlights Groathouse Construction’s expertise as a reliable commercial contractor in Gillette WY capable of delivering large-scale educational and athletic facilities.
