This project includes three phases. The first phase is a complex renovation to the existing courthouse, which last had renovations in 1985. Work included the complete overhaul to the decades old mechanical systems, with replacement of all duct work, heating/cooling piping, and new sprinkler heads and additional valves in the fire suppression system. As well as the removal of ceiling tiles to access duct work, with new installation of 23,000 sf of acoustical tiles and upgraded light fixtures to LED's, and new carpet throughout the basement level and second floor. The second phase of the project included the mechanical system overhaul of the original building, including new air-handler units on the top level of the 1912 building. Crews are currently working on the third phase, renovations to the Public Works building.
